The Coastal Plain is the region south of the Fall Line. It is the largest region by far and is divided into two separate areas. The Inner Coastal Plain (the northern half) is known for its famous pecans and Vidalia Onions. The Lower Coastal Plain is famed for its naval uses. The Coastal Plain is a mixture of fertile land and swamp lands. For example, one of the world's largest freshwater ecosystems, the Okefenokee Swamp, is located in the Coastal Plains.
