The Paleoindians were hunter-gatherers that appeared in the region of Georgia after the Ice Age. They were the first humans in North Americas, living from 10,000-8,000 BCE. They came from Asia over a land bridge called Beringia. They moved camp regularly, after they used up the resources around them. They ate caribou, wooly mammoth, and giant sloth. Their shelter was made of hides and bark molded together. The most often occurring evidence of Paleoindian life we have is from their Clovis projectile points. In fact, archaeologists have determined the possible time periods each style of projectiles came from.
