The Okefenokee Swamp, located in the Outer Coastal Plain, is the second largest freshwater swamp in the United States. It is a National Wildlife Refuge tingling with various kinds of animals and plants. There are also alligators and black bears! Its "black water" is from the decaying vegetation. Over 700 square miles in size, it is a famous site in Georgia.
